LPN Ambulatory – Dermatology

About the role

The Strongsville Family Health and Surgery Center, part of the Cleveland Clinic Health System, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its Dermatology‑Ambulatory Operations team. The LPN will provide direct patient care in a fast‑paced outpatient setting that treats a wide range of skin, hair and nail conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or physician.
• Collect and document objective and subjective patient data, complete nursing assessments, and report findings.
• Implement nursing care plans, administer medications or treatments, and monitor patient responses.
• Observe patients for adverse reactions, perform routine laboratory tests, and educate patients and families.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved school of practical nursing.
• Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• One year of patient‑care experience preferred.

Required skills

• Ability to perform full‑body motion, lift patients, and stand for extended periods.
• Manual finger dexterity with good hand‑eye coordination.
• Capability to work under stressful conditions and adhere to standard precautions using personal protective equipment.
