Low Voltage Project Manager - Fire Alarm & Security

About the role

ABcom is an industry leader in the design, construction and maintenance of electrical and low voltage systems in the Puget Sound area. It is looking for a Fire Alarm/Security Project Manager who will act as the company's representative on project teams, manage several projects and serve as the main contact for customers such as general contractors and owners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned projects and coordinate field labor, materials and equipment so work stays on schedule and within budget
• Serve as main contact for customers and keep them satisfied
• Review contracts and negotiate with contractors and subcontractors
• Maintain accurate records of project and team progress
• Develop baseline schedules for labor, materials, equipment and subcontract time, and take corrective action when needed
• Approve project changes and decisions on cost, time and performance against the baseline plan
• Report project financials weekly to keep projects under budget and on time

Required profile

• 2+ years of project management experience in low voltage construction, ideally with fire alarm or security
• Ability to build structured cabling, security, fire alarm or other low voltage systems
• Authority to use all available company resources to meet project goals
• Ability to meet or exceed annual revenue expectations

Required skills

• Basic understanding of construction costs, accounting, scheduling, estimating and engineering principles
• Microsoft Word and Excel
• Basic use of Bluebeam software
