Loss Prevention Assistant Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Loss Prevention Assistant Manager to join our cannabis retail operation in Garden City. The role involves ensuring compliance with state regulations, safeguarding assets, and supporting the security team across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Uphold state laws and company policies for customers and employees.
• Monitor other locations via security camera system and provide backup support.
• Escort vendors and visitors, conduct pocket checks, and verify temperature/humidity of grow areas.
• Investigate suspicious activities, lead workplace investigations, and collaborate with law enforcement.
• Address employee performance and disciplinary matters, provide shift coverage, and train staff on procedures.
• Perform basic IT troubleshooting and minor equipment repairs.

Required profile

• High ethical standards with willingness to follow Marijuana Enforcement Division regulations.
• Ability to work independently, handle high‑stress situations, and make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
• Flexible availability for varying shifts and prior supervisory or management experience preferred.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills to operate camera systems and maintain logs.
• Strong attention to detail and observational abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
