Logistics & Inventory Manager - Pharmaceutical

About the role

Ardelyx, a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company, is hiring a Logistics and Inventory Manager for its Newark, CA office. The role runs the company's supply chain logistics, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance of cGMP and non-GMP domestic and international shipments, and acts as subject matter expert for the NetSuite ERP. It is a hybrid role (2-3 days in the office) and requires flexibility to work early mornings and later hours to support global partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end logistics for clinical and commercial products, domestically and internationally
• Ensure compliance with US and international import/export regulations, keeping records in Veeva and the EDMS
• Manage relationships with 3PL providers and CMOs and update 3PL master data
• Serve as NetSuite expert, guide teams on inventory best practices, lead ERP enhancements and resolve ERP issues with IT and vendors
• Manage inventory transactions in NetSuite (consumption, issuance, scrap) and reconcile trace events in the rTS system against physical shipments
• Produce aging reports and help decide the disposition of materials
• Work with Process Chemistry and Analytical Development on reference standards and analytical markers
• Report logistics and inventory metrics to senior management

Required profile

• BA/BS in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical logistics or supply chain management
• Experience with US and global import/export regulations in pharma
• Experience with logistics, warehouse and inventory control in pharma or biotech
• Knowledge of cGMP requirements preferred

Required skills

• Inventory management, including cycle counting
• ERP inventory management, preferably NetSuite
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical and computer skills

• Anticipated base pay of $118,000 - $144,000, possibly with an annual bonus target and equity awards
