Local CDL-A Truck Driver – $32.39/hr

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a full‑time Local CDL‑A City Pickup & Delivery (P&D) driver for its New Orleans service center. You will operate daily routes, delivering and picking up freight within the city and returning to the terminal each day.

Key responsibilities

• Perform city‑wide freight deliveries and pickups with multiple stops per shift.
• Operate scanning equipment to track shipments and interact directly with customers.
• Complete lift‑gate deliveries using an electric pallet jack when required.
• Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to safety regulations.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A license with at least 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience in the past 3 years.
• Good driving record (MVR/PSP) with no serious violations and no more than three moving violations in the past 3 years.
• Age 23 (or 21 if meeting FMCSA military transition specifications).
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment DOT physical, drug screen, and road test.
• Physical ability to bend, lift and stoop safely.
