Litigation Associate Attorney – Boston

About the role

Our client, a national law firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Boston office. The role provides hands‑on courtroom advocacy, deposition work, complex motion practice and direct client interaction, ideal for an attorney eager to develop trial skills.

Key responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters from investigation through appeal, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice and trial.
• Draft sophisticated pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs and legal memoranda for complex commercial, regulatory and administrative disputes.
• Oversee discovery processes, including written discovery, e‑discovery strategy, document production and deposition preparation.
• Represent clients in federal, state and administrative proceedings, handling hearings, oral arguments and trials.
• Partner with clients to assess legal risk, provide practical guidance and develop business‑focused solutions.
• Collaborate with litigation, regulatory and transactional teams to deliver integrated legal solutions.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor from an ABA‑accredited law school with a strong academic record.
• 2–5 years of litigation experience, preferably at a sophisticated law firm or through a judicial clerkship.
• Active membership in the Massachusetts Bar, or eligibility for admission promptly.
• Knowledge of the Massachusetts Rules of Civil Procedure and the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Excellent legal writing and confident communication with clients, colleagues, opposing counsel and courts.
• Proactive ownership of assignments, ability to anticipate client needs and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
