Litigation and Legal Support Manager

About the role

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation, and Reentry is seeking a Litigation and Legal Support Manager to lead its Legal Support Unit. This senior position oversees operational and administrative functions, ensuring effective litigation support and coordination across the agency.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise legal support staff, manage workload distribution, performance, coaching, and development.
• Establish operational priorities, procedures, and workflow processes for the unit.
• Develop and implement process improvements and monitor productivity metrics.
• Perform hands‑on legal support activities such as discovery production, subpoena response, e‑discovery, records management, and legal‑access monitoring.
• Prepare reports, summaries, and operational analyses for executive leadership.
• Collaborate with ADCRR attorneys, the Attorney General’s Office, and outside counsel to meet discovery and litigation needs.
• Compose correspondence on sensitive legal matters and drive on state business.

Required profile

• Experience supervising legal or paralegal staff in a government or corrections environment.
• Strong knowledge of civil litigation processes, state and federal regulations, and agency operations.
• Proven ability to manage projects, analyze data, and communicate effectively in writing and orally.
