Litigation Administrator

About the role

The Litigation Administrator supports John Deere Financial’s legal operations by developing and executing strategies for a variety of litigation matters, including bankruptcies and involuntary repossessions. This remote‑first position works closely with in‑house counsel, local attorneys, and cross‑functional teams to protect the company’s financial interests.

Key responsibilities

• Research and formulate business strategies for incoming litigation accounts, incorporating market, product, and equipment valuation data.
• Manage cases across all U.S. financial products and customer segments within an assigned geographic area.
• Collaborate with local counsel, dealers, sales personnel, and senior management to achieve cost‑effective outcomes.
• Attend and participate in mediations, depositions, and court hearings, both virtually and in person.
• Review, approve, and sign legal documents such as complaints and affidavits; prepare discovery requests.
• Evaluate equipment fair market values through JDF Asset Remarketing or third‑party sources to inform strategy.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with legal and business teams.
• Experience with bankruptcy chapters, replevins, and other complex litigation matters.
• Strong analytical skills to assess financial and equipment valuation data.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting strategies and participating in legal proceedings.
