About the role

The YMCA is seeking a part‑time Lifeguard to keep our pool area safe and welcoming. You will monitor swimmers, provide confidence‑building support, and act quickly when emergencies arise.

Key responsibilities

Scan the pool area continuously to ensure safety.
Teach confidence and water skills through your presence.
Respond promptly and effectively to any incidents.

Required profile

Engaging, cheerful, and helpful attitude.
Alert and safety‑oriented, able to anticipate hazards.
Decisive, able to enforce rules and stick with decisions.
Quick‑thinking and calm under pressure.
Problem‑solver who thrives in a noisy, dynamic environment.
Attentive, able to work without distractions.
