About the role
This part‑time position provides lifeguarding services at the City of Rockport aquatics facility, ensuring a safe and clean environment for patrons.
Key responsibilities
- Enforce pool rules and policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of the facility and pools.
- Inspect the facility, report unsafe conditions, and prepare incident/accident reports.
- Participate in lifeguard training exercises and respond to water emergencies, performing rescues.
- Measure, read, and record water chemistry.
Required profile
- Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Preferred 1–2 years of related experience or apprenticeship/internship.
- Possession of Lifeguard certification.
- Possession of CPR/First Aid certification.
- Minimum age of 15 on the date of employment.
