Licensed Vocational Nurse – Primary Family Medicine Clinic

About the role

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) will provide direct patient care in a primary family medicine clinic under the supervision of physicians and registered nurses. This full‑time position supports patient flow, clinical procedures, and administrative tasks to ensure high‑quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, weigh patients, and collect specimens, including phlebotomy where required.
• Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Manage patient flow through the clinic and answer phone calls related to patient care.
• Schedule tests, handle results, and obtain pre‑certifications.
• Document patient information, process medication refills, and administer medications and immunizations per provider orders.
• Clean and restock exam rooms, maintain equipment, and order supplies.
• Perform routine clerical duties such as locating charts, filing, and completing forms.
• Participate in required meetings, in‑service training, and other assigned duties.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
• Current LVN license in the state of employment (or compact license).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work a 5‑day, 8‑hour schedule.
