Licensed Professional Counselor or LCSW Practicum Student Intern

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) practicum student to join our Christ‑centered mental health team. The intern will provide evidence‑based counseling while integrating biblical principles, supporting individuals, couples, families, and groups in their healing journey.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy using modalities such as CBT, DBT, IFS, and solution‑focused approaches.
• Integrate Christian faith and scripture into sessions when appropriate and requested by the client.
• Coordinate care with healthcare professionals, community resources, and church leadership while maintaining confidentiality.
• Maintain accurate, timely client records and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited program.
• Deep personal Christian faith with the ability to integrate a biblical worldview into clinical practice.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and emotional intelligence.
