Licensed Practical Nurse – School Health (Full‑time)

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Pediatrics seeks a full‑time Licensed Practical Nurse to provide practical nursing care in school health clinics, supporting student health and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first aid, follow‑up assessments and practical nursing care to students in the school health clinic.
• Administer medications, treatments and coordinate care plans for students with medical needs, documenting all actions in clinic databases.
• Maintain and update student health records, ensure vaccination compliance and communicate health information to parents/guardians.
• Manage clinic inventory, prepare medical supplies and uphold infection‑control standards.
• Participate in school events, team conferences and collaborate with school staff to promote student health and safety.

Required profile

• Current valid Florida LPN license.
• High school diploma or equivalent; one year of nursing experience preferred.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to work during school hours and attend occasional evenings or weekend events.

Required skills

• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Proficiency with office software and basic computer applications.
