About the role

Join the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities as a Licensed Practical Nurse 2, providing direct nursing care to patients across Augusta, Georgia. This full‑time, day‑shift position supports injured, ill, convalescent and disabled individuals through hands‑on medical treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care under general supervision, including wound care, vital sign monitoring, and patient education.
• Administer prescribed medications and perform injections safely and accurately.
• Document patient observations, treatments, and outcomes in accordance with state regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans.
• Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED and successful completion of an LPN program approved by the Georgia Nursing Board.
• Current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Minimum six months of nursing experience, or one year in a Licensed Practical Nurse 1 role or equivalent.
• Ability to work day shifts and follow general supervision guidelines.
