Licensed Practical Nurse 2 – Night Shift

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse 2 to join the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities on the night shift. This full‑time position provides direct nursing care to injured, ill, convalescent, or disabled individuals under general supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver general direct nursing care, including medical treatments.
• Administer prescribed medications and give injections safely.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to supervising staff.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality care.

Required profile

• High School diploma/GED and completion of an LPN program approved by the Georgia Nursing Board, or a vocational/technical degree from an accredited college.
• Current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• At least six months of nursing experience, or one year of experience at the lower‑level LPN 1 position (or equivalent).
• Ability to work night shifts and follow general supervision guidelines.
