About the role
The State of Georgia is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse 2 to provide direct nursing care to injured, ill, convalescent, or disabled individuals. This full‑time position works under general supervision within the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, contributing to the health and well‑being of Georgia residents.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver general direct nursing care, including medical treatments and patient monitoring.
- Administer prescribed medications and give injections safely and accurately.
- Assist with patient assessments, documentation, and coordination of care plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient support.
Required profile
- High School diploma/GED and successful completion of an LPN program approved by the Georgia Nursing Board, **or** a vocational/technical degree from an accredited college.
- Current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Minimum six months of nursing experience, or one year of experience at the lower‑level Licensed Practical Nurse 1 position (or equivalent).
