Licensed Commercial Plumber – Facilities O&M

About the role

Amentum is seeking an experienced licensed commercial plumber to support a Facilities Support O&M Services Contract. The plumber provides day-to-day support for facilities under O&M operations, typically working Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm. The role covers commercial, institutional, industrial and residential facilities and requires strong knowledge of UPC/IPC codes, the ability to read detailed construction documents and coordination with other trades.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe workplace in line with OHSA and local safety codes, and follow site policies and environmental health, safety and quality requirements.
• Study building plans and working drawings, plan and lay out work, and execute work orders from the CMMS.
• Install, repair and maintain pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, water and drainage systems, septic systems and lift stations, including black iron, galvanized, brass, copper, CPVC, PEX and gas piping.
• Cut, thread and join pipe, install fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, water heaters and garbage disposals, and repair leaks, burst pipes and clogged drains.
• Pressure test systems, prepare purchase requests and help maintain bench stock inventory.
• Work outdoors in extreme heat, humidity and cold, and perform other duties such as basic painting, lawn maintenance and driving trailers.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent and 10 years of experience as a plumber, including active commercial construction sites.
• Applicable certifications (military technical training, journeyman and/or master).
• TS/SCI clearance and a valid driver's license from the applicant's home state.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly, stand 8-10 hours and work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, crawl spaces and plenums.
• Preferred: CDL, heavy equipment experience, OSHA 10 or 30, backflow prevention certification, and forklift certification.
