Liability Associate Claims Adjuster

About the role

As a Liability Associate Claims Adjuster you will investigate, evaluate, negotiate and resolve first‑party automobile physical‑damage claims as well as third‑party automobile and general‑liability property‑damage claims, ensuring compliance with company policies, client standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate first‑party physical damage and third‑party liability claims to determine coverage, liability and damages.
• Review accident reports, witness statements, repair estimates and related claim materials.
• Conduct interviews with claimants, insureds, witnesses and other parties.
• Analyze policy provisions to determine claim applicability and issue payments according to coverage and company policies.
• Identify sub‑rogation opportunities and refer files to the sub‑rogation unit.
• Manage claims from initial report through resolution, maintaining reserves and a detailed plan of action.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys and other parties.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the claims management system and flag potential fraud indicators.

Required profile

• Claims adjusting license for Florida (or other required jurisdiction).
• At least 2 years of experience with first‑party physical damage, automobile liability or commercial general liability claims.
• Strong investigative, analytical and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple claims while preserving quality and service standards.
• Knowledge of Florida sovereign immunity law.
