Level II Ultrasonic Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) Technician

About the role

BETA Technologies seeks a Level II certified Ultrasonic Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) Technician to join its Ultrasonic NDI team. The role involves performing inspections on parts and assemblies, training Level I technicians, and supporting process development.

Key responsibilities

• Perform ultrasonic NDI on parts and assemblies according to company standards.
• Provide training hours and guidance to Level I technicians.
• Collaborate with Level III personnel to ensure consistent quality and adherence to procedures.
• Assist in developing processes, procedures, and training materials for new technicians.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Level II (NAS410) certification in Ultrasonic NDI.
• Minimum 2 years of NDI experience, preferably with composites.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Capability to train, examine, and certify personnel.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ultrasonic inspection equipment, including Phased‑Array and Bond Test flaw detectors.
• Experience with Olympus flaw detection equipment and software (preferred).
• Use of Microsoft Office Suite and business reporting tools.
• Working knowledge of CAD software such as Catia or Onshape.
• Familiarity with ERP systems like Plex.
