Level 2 Microsoft Engineer - USA (East Coast)

About the role

A technically strong Level 2 Microsoft Engineer is sought, with about 3-4 years of hands-on experience supporting Microsoft cloud, workplace and infrastructure environments. The engineer takes ownership of escalated technical issues and works across Microsoft 365, Azure, identity, endpoint management and security technologies. The position is described as permanent and onsite, on the US East Coast.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced Level 2 Microsoft technical support and take ownership of escalations from Level 1 engineers
• Administer Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory
• Support Microsoft Azure environments
• Manage devices and policies through Microsoft Intune
• Configure and troubleshoot Conditional Access and MFA
• Support Windows 10/11 environments and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and related networking issues
• Assist with tenant migrations, onboarding and cloud projects
• Perform root-cause analysis, maintain technical documentation and work with Level 3 engineers and senior cloud specialists

Required profile

• Approximately 3-4 years of relevant Microsoft / IT support experience
• Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience
• Networking fundamentals and excellent troubleshooting skills
• Strong written and verbal communication and a customer-focused approach
• Microsoft certifications in Microsoft 365, Azure, Endpoint Administration or Security are highly advantageous; CompTIA, ITIL or equivalent qualifications are also considered
