Level 1 Systems Administrator – IT Support

About the role

Join Akkodis as a Level 1 Systems Administrator supporting client IT environments in Rochester, NY. You will serve as the first line of defense, handling day‑to‑day technical issues and ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and network services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 help‑desk support via phone, email, or on‑site.
• Troubleshoot software glitches, network connectivity problems, and basic hardware failures.
• Create, modify, and disable user accounts in Active Directory and manage password resets.
• Set up new workstations, laptops, peripherals, and install standard software updates.
• Perform routine scripted tasks such as daily backup verification and antivirus definition updates.

Required profile

• High School Diploma (required).
• Minimum two years of related IT support experience.
• Basic knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Familiarity with help‑desk ticketing systems and remote support tools.
