Legal Support – Senior Counsel

About the role

DataCT LLC is seeking an experienced legal professional to provide comprehensive legal drafting, review, and advisory support within its Consolidated Tape Plan administration. The role works closely with the Head of Legal, Risk and Compliance and operates in a shared‑services environment to ensure consistency and regulatory compliance across all contractual touchpoints.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and review subscriber agreements, vendor contracts, and policy documentation.
• Support regulatory filings and CT Plan submissions in coordination with external counsel.
• Advise on licensing disputes, audit settlements, and policy interpretation.
• Operate under a shared‑services arrangement with the CRO, maintaining independence and avoiding conflicts of interest.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) with 10+ years of experience in financial services or market‑data licensing.
• Strong background in contract drafting and regulatory compliance.
• Comfortable working part‑time within a shared‑services capacity.
• Willingness to maintain regular, in‑person presence at DataCT’s New York office.

• Base salary range $260,000–$280,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
