Lecturer – Social Work (3 openings)

About the role

SUNY Plattsburgh is seeking three skilled social work educators to join its Social Work Program. The position begins in Fall 2026 and involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses across the BSW and MSW curricula.

Key responsibilities

• Teach 12 credits (four courses) each semester using in‑person, hybrid, and asynchronous online modalities.
• Review applications for the MSW program.
• Serve as a field liaison for students when assigned to field seminar courses.
• Participate in department meetings, initiatives, and special events.
• Provide student advisement and contribute to departmental, school, and university service.
• Maintain a consistent on‑campus presence to support departmental operations.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in social work education at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Ability to teach in multiple instructional formats (in‑person, hybrid, online).
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching and service.
• Willingness to engage in departmental and university service activities.
