Leasing Professional – The Walcott

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Leasing Professional to join the team at The Walcott community in Hackensack. You will be responsible for driving occupancy, revenue, and resident satisfaction through effective marketing, leasing, and renewal activities.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct community tours, show apartments, and process applications, credit and background checks.
• Prepare lease agreements, move‑in packages, and ensure a smooth resident move‑in experience.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in, confirm readiness, and coordinate any outstanding maintenance items.
• Monitor market and competitor conditions, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and apply concessions or specials to boost occupancy.
• Design and execute marketing initiatives, including resident referral programs, employer outreach, and internet marketing on platforms such as Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize on‑site property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record traffic, manage prospect data, and capture demographic information.
• Maintain show‑unit standards through daily inspections and coordination with the maintenance team.

Required profile

• Ability to greet and qualify prospects and conduct effective community tours.
• Experience processing leasing applications, credit screening, and background checks.
• Capability to prepare lease documents and manage move‑in logistics.
• Knowledge of local market trends and ability to develop marketing strategies.
