Leasing Professional – The Avant at Reston Town Center

About the role

The Leasing Professional will coordinate marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies for The Avant at Reston Town Center, driving occupancy, revenue, and resident retention. You will manage all leasing activities, ensure resident satisfaction throughout the lease term, and secure lease renewals.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct community tours, show apartments, and process applications, credit screenings, and background checks.
• Prepare lease and move‑in packages, ensure smooth resident move‑ins, and inspect units for readiness.
• Monitor market and competitor conditions, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and apply concessions or specials to boost occupancy.
• Design and execute marketing initiatives, including resident referral programs, employer outreach, and internet marketing via Craigslist, Facebook, email, and other platforms.
• Utilize on‑site property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record traffic, manage prospect data, and capture demographic information.

Required profile

• Previous experience in leasing, property management, or a related real‑estate role.
• Strong knowledge of local market conditions and competitor activity.
• Ability to conduct tours, process applications, and manage lease documentation.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills to maintain resident satisfaction.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management software such as OneSite or Yardi.
• Experience using internet marketing tools like Craigslist and Facebook.
