Leasing Professional – The Alexandria

About the role

We are seeking a Leasing Professional for The Alexandria, a 264‑unit garden‑style community in Jackson. The role focuses on driving occupancy, revenue and resident retention through proactive leasing, marketing and resident‑service activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all sales and leasing activities, including greeting and qualifying prospects, conducting tours, processing applications, credit and background checks, and preparing lease and move‑in packages.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in, ensure they are ready for residents, and coordinate any needed maintenance.
• Monitor market and competitor conditions, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and apply community policies on concessions and specials.
• Design and execute marketing initiatives such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and internet marketing using platforms like Craigslist, Facebook and email.
• Utilize property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record traffic, manage prospect data, and capture demographic information.

Required profile

• Experience in residential leasing or sales with a proven ability to meet occupancy and revenue targets.
• Strong knowledge of local rental market dynamics and competitor activity.
• Ability to develop and implement effective marketing and resident‑retention strategies.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage leasing paperwork, move‑in processes, and maintenance coordination.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management software such as OneSite or Yardi.
• Familiarity with online marketing tools (Craigslist, Facebook, email platforms).
