Leasing Professional - Portside

About the role

A stabilized 300-unit community in Portside, Ventura Harbor is hiring a Leasing Professional. The role coordinates the community's marketing, leasing and renewal strategies to reach occupancy, revenue and resident retention goals, while handling all activities related to leasing new residents, keeping residents satisfied during their tenancy and securing lease renewals. Weekend availability is required, 9am-6pm depending on business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Sell and lease apartments: greet and qualify prospects, give tours, process applications, run credit and background checks, prepare leases and move-in packages, and ensure a smooth move-in.
• Inspect apartments before move-in and schedule outstanding repairs with maintenance.
• Track market and competitor conditions, develop marketing plans and follow concession and special programs to sustain occupancy.
• Run marketing activities such as resident referrals, employer outreach and online advertising, and use property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, traffic and resident data.
• Keep show units and the leasing office in top condition, and follow up with prospects and new residents to close deals and renewals.
• Prepare renewal letters and packages, contact renewing residents before move-out and ensure documents are signed on time.
• Respond promptly to resident and owner concerns and escalate requests as needed.

Required profile

• 1-2 years of leasing experience, with proven leasing and sales experience in conventional multifamily housing.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a hospitality-focused mindset.
• All state and local licenses and certifications required, and a valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including call-outs on evenings, weekends and holidays, and occasional travel to other properties or training.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 25 pounds alone and 50 pounds with help, and work in all weather.

• Pay of $22.00-$23.00 per hour, with possible weekly, monthly or quarterly bonuses for onsite positions.
