Leasing Professional – Northern Virginia

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Leasing Professional to lead marketing, leasing, and renewal efforts for a community in Northern Virginia. The role focuses on achieving occupancy, revenue, and resident‑retention targets through proactive leasing activities and resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct tours, show apartments, and process applications, including credit and criminal background checks.
• Prepare lease agreements, move‑in packages, and ensure smooth resident move‑ins.
• Inspect units before move‑in, coordinate any needed maintenance, and maintain show‑unit standards.
• Monitor market and competitor trends, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and manage concessions and specials.
• Execute marketing initiatives such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms like Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize property‑management software (OneSite, Yardi, etc.) to track availability, record traffic, manage prospect data, and capture demographic information.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to greet, qualify, and guide prospects.
• Detail‑oriented approach to lease preparation, application processing, and unit inspections.
• Ability to stay informed about local market conditions and adjust leasing strategies accordingly.

Required skills

• Experience with property‑management software such as OneSite or Yardi.
• Proficiency in online marketing tools, including Craigslist, Facebook, and email platforms.
