Leasing Professional - Next on Lex / Brio

About the role

A stabilized 699-unit multifamily community in Glendale, California is hiring a Leasing Professional. The role coordinates the community's marketing, leasing and renewal strategies to reach occupancy, revenue and resident retention goals, while handling all activities related to leasing new residents, keeping residents satisfied during their tenancy and securing lease renewals. Schedule is Tuesday to Saturday, 9am-6pm, with weekend availability required.

Key responsibilities

• Sell and lease apartments: greet and qualify prospects, give tours, process applications, run credit and background checks, prepare leases and move-in packages, and ensure a smooth move-in.
• Inspect apartments before move-in and schedule outstanding repairs with maintenance.
• Track market and competitor conditions, develop short- and long-term marketing plans, and follow concession and special programs.
• Run marketing activities such as resident referrals, employer outreach and online advertising, and use property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability and resident data.
• Keep show units and the leasing office in top condition and follow up with prospects and new residents.
• Support lease renewals by preparing renewal letters and packages and contacting renewing residents before move-out.
• Respond promptly to resident and owner questions and requests.

Required profile

• 1-2 years of leasing experience; previous multifamily and affordable housing experience preferred.
• Strong sales and customer service background, able to build rapport, overcome objections and convert prospects into leases.
• Experience with income-restricted programs, compliance documentation and recertifications is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and all state and local licenses required for the job.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including call-outs on evenings, weekends and holidays, and occasional travel to other properties or training.
