Leasing Professional – Mid-Market

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Leasing Professional to drive occupancy, revenue, and resident retention for a mid‑market community in Houston. You will manage the full leasing cycle, from prospect outreach to move‑in, while ensuring a high‑quality resident experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct tours, and showcase apartments.
• Process applications, perform credit and criminal background checks, and prepare lease and move‑in packages.
• Inspect units before move‑in, coordinate with maintenance to resolve any issues.
• Monitor market and competitor activity, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans to sustain occupancy.
• Design and execute marketing initiatives, including resident referral programs, employer outreach, and internet marketing via platforms such as Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize property‑management software (OneSite, Yardi, etc.) to track availability, record leasing activity, and manage prospect data.
• Maintain show units to Greystar’s quality standards through daily inspections.

Required profile

• Proven ability to meet occupancy and revenue targets in a residential community.
• Strong understanding of local rental market dynamics.
• Ability to develop and implement effective marketing strategies.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational skills.
