Leasing Professional for Hudson House East

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Leasing Professional to manage the marketing, leasing and renewal activities for the Hudson House East community in Jersey City. The role focuses on attracting new residents, ensuring a smooth move‑in experience and maintaining high resident satisfaction throughout the lease term.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct tours, show apartments and process applications, including credit and criminal background checks.
• Prepare lease agreements and move‑in packages, coordinate apartment inspections and ensure units are move‑in ready.
• Monitor market and competitor trends, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and implement concessions or specials to boost occupancy.
• Execute marketing initiatives such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms like Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize property‑management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record leasing activity and manage prospect data.
• Maintain show‑unit standards through daily inspections and coordination with the maintenance team.

Required profile

• Strong sales and customer‑service orientation with the ability to qualify and convert prospects.
• Attention to detail for apartment inspections, lease preparation and data entry.
• Knowledge of local rental market conditions and competitive positioning.
• Ability to work collaboratively with maintenance and marketing teams.

Required skills

• Experience using OneSite or Yardi property‑management software.
• Proficiency with online marketing tools such as Craigslist and Facebook.
• Ability to conduct credit screening and background checks.
