Leasing Professional – Avana Matthews Community

About the role

The Leasing Professional will drive occupancy, revenue, and resident retention for the Avana Matthews community. You will manage all leasing activities, from prospecting and tours to lease signing and move‑in, while ensuring a high level of resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct community tours, and show apartments.
• Process applications, perform credit screening and criminal background checks.
• Prepare lease agreements, move‑in packages, and ensure smooth resident move‑ins.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in and coordinate any needed maintenance.
• Monitor market and competitor conditions, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans.
• Execute marketing activities, including resident referral programs, employer outreach, and internet marketing on platforms such as Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record leasing activity, and manage resident data.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leasing or sales within a residential community.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to build resident relationships.
• Knowledge of local rental market trends and competitor activity.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including rotating weekends.
