Leasing Professional – Ascend at Pena Station

About the role

The Leasing Professional will coordinate marketing, leasing and renewal activities for the Ascend at Pena Station community, driving occupancy, revenue and resident retention. This role involves direct interaction with prospective and current residents and requires a strong focus on delivering a seamless leasing experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct community tours, and show apartments.
• Process applications, perform credit screening and criminal background checks, and prepare lease and move‑in packages.
• Inspect units before move‑in, ensure they are ready, and coordinate any outstanding maintenance tasks.
• Monitor market and competitor conditions, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and manage concessions and specials.
• Design and execute marketing initiatives, including resident referral programs, employer outreach, and internet marketing via Craigslist, Facebook and email.
• Maintain accurate data on apartment availability, traffic, and resident information using on‑site property management software.
• Ensure show units meet company standards through daily inspections.

Required profile

• Experience in residential leasing or property management.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to qualify prospects quickly.
• Organizational skills to manage applications, documentation and move‑in processes.
• Able to stay informed on local market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Collaborative mindset to work with maintenance and marketing teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management software such as OneSite or Yardi.
• Experience using internet marketing platforms including Craigslist, Facebook and email campaigns.
• Ability to conduct credit screening and background checks.
