Leasing Consultant

About the role

Morguard, a fully integrated real estate company investing in multifamily assets across North America, is hiring a Leasing Consultant for its apartment community in Falls Church, VA. The consultant handles all aspects of onsite leasing, including incoming calls, online and in-person traffic, leasing apartments and preparing leasing files for approval and renewals. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00am-6:00pm on weekdays and 10:00am-6:00pm on Saturdays, with a business day off each week you work Saturday.

Key responsibilities

• Greet residents and prospective residents who visit or call the leasing office
• Stay informed on the surrounding market, community amenities and available floor plans
• Schedule apartment tours, assess rental needs and guide prospects through the leasing process, including model units and onsite amenities
• Perform market surveys of the surrounding area and share findings with the Community Manager
• Invite prospects to sign lease documents, collect qualifying information and prepare lease files for review and audit

Required profile

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
• Restaurant/hospitality or direct multi-family industry experience (1-2 years preferred)
• Strong administrative and organizational skills and attention to detail, as the role is responsible for onsite lease administration
• Valid driver's license in good standing, as onsite golf carts are used for tours and inspections

Required skills

• Direct experience with Entrata, Yardi or Onesite is preferred
• Good foundation in communication, organization and computer proficiency
