Leadman – Construction Field Supervisor

About the role

The Leadman is a hands‑on field supervisor responsible for coordinating crews, managing equipment, and ensuring safe, efficient execution of concrete repair and maintenance projects. Reporting to the site supervisor, the Leadman mentors team members, monitors progress, and maintains high standards of quality and safety on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Accountable for tools and light equipment (generators, floor saws, epoxy pumps, swing scaffold motors, etc.) ensuring proper cleaning, storage, and security after each shift.
• Ensure crew punctuality, proper location reporting, and communicate crew status to supervisors before shift start.
• Oversee safe operation of heavy equipment (skid steer loaders, forklifts, power buggies, trucks) in line with manufacturer specifications.
• Provide on‑site technical guidance, demonstrate tasks, and train Tech 1‑3 employees.
• Calculate material requirements (concrete volume, coating gallons, cable length) and report shortages to avoid downtime.
• Measure daily work output, document repair and protection quantities, and report detailed activity logs.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on tools and equipment; flag major repairs to mechanics.
• Communicate professionally with customers and clients when required.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of field experience in construction or concrete repair.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
• Calm under pressure, proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.

Required skills

• Operation of generators, floor saws, epoxy pumps, and swing scaffold motors.
• Heavy equipment operation: skid steer loaders, forklifts, power buggies, trucks.
• Use of hand‑held electric and hydraulic tools.
• Equipment maintenance and minor repair.
• Material quantity estimation (concrete, coatings, cable).
