Leadership Program Director & Instructor (Higher Ed)

About the role

Bank Street College seeks a full‑time faculty member to serve as Program Director and Leadership Instructor for its redesigned online Educational Leadership Program. The role begins September 1, 2026 and combines program management with teaching and advising responsibilities across progressive and early‑childhood leadership pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the redesign of the Educational Leadership Program in collaboration with the Department Chair and faculty.
• Prepare and submit the NYS Administrator Certification program revision application.
• Continuously review and update curriculum to align with NYS certification requirements.
• Teach graduate‑level courses and provide academic advising to students.
• Develop new partnerships with public, charter, private, and early‑childhood schools.
• Support enrollment growth and oversee program administration (approximately 15% of workload, increasing with enrollment).

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in early‑childhood and K‑12 educational leadership.
• Extensive experience teaching at the graduate level in early‑childhood or K‑12 settings.
• Proven school‑building leadership experience.
• Deep knowledge of progressive pedagogies for children and adults.
• Experience with district‑level leadership is preferred.
