Lead Software Engineer

About the role

Advitaortho is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to design and deliver AI‑driven software solutions across its global organization. You will work with functional teams to translate business needs into production‑ready applications that leverage large language models and retrieval‑augmented generation techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements, define problems, and co‑develop solutions.
• Assess when large language models are appropriate versus conventional software or data solutions.
• Design and build RAG solutions, including embeddings, vector search, orchestration, and model selection.
• Create evaluation and monitoring pipelines that gate releases and track quality and cost.
• Ensure auditability and regulatory compliance of AI solutions.
• Develop integrations and data pipelines linking to enterprise systems of record.
• Own Azure cloud architecture, cost management, security, and access control.
• Partner with enterprise applications teams to deliver solutions to end users.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production software.
• Proven experience delivering applications built on large language models, RAG, prompt design, and evaluation.
• Experience integrating with enterprise systems of record and handling their data.
• Experience deploying machine‑learning models on proprietary data (preferred).
• Background in regulated industries such as medical devices or life sciences (preferred).
• Experience with document‑heavy, unstructured data extraction, classification, and coding (preferred).
