Lead Product Designer (Contract Talent)

About the role

Robert Half is hiring a Lead Product Designer (Contract Talent) for its Experience Design department, which works on a talent marketplace for candidates, staffing professionals and clients. The designer joins a product "squad" and takes part in every stage of the design process, from framing problems and research to prototyping, high-resolution design and collaboration with product management and engineering. Remote applicants are encouraged; Western time zone is a plus.

Key responsibilities

• Craft clarity from ambiguity and drive meaningful product outcomes with Product and Engineering peers.
• Collaborate and communicate design effectively across multiple functions and influence others to build consensus.
• Think as a systems thinker, improving the whole user flow rather than just a feature.
• Act as a leader in the squad, advocating and applying human-centered design practices.

Required profile

• High degree of craft across user research, prototyping, interaction and visual design.
• Ability to work with product owners, engineers and user researchers to shape a product vision.
• Capacity to create innovative end-to-end experiences across web and mobile, grounded in human insight, data and business goals.
• Experience with analytics, user research and decision-making approaches.
• Experience with design systems, distributed teams, and product management and engineering teams.
• Experience leading or facilitating workshops, design sprints and design studios.

Required skills

• Figma, Sketch or Adobe XD.
• User research, prototyping, interaction and visual design.
• Design systems.
