Lead Platform Engineer – LOCP Platform

About the role

LSEG is hiring a Lead Platform Engineer for its LOCP platform, a strategic technology that enables the migration of flagship real-time systems onto an advanced container platform designed for ultra-low latency, high throughput and resilience. You will work at the forefront of platform engineering, helping design, implement and evolve enterprise-scale infrastructure, in a fast-moving, technically complex environment. The career stage is Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and evolution of LOCP platform capabilities across development, test and production environments.
• Build, enhance and maintain platform services using Infrastructure as Code, automation and engineering best practices.
• Contribute to platform architecture decisions and technology roadmaps.
• Champion Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and improve reliability, availability, resilience and scalability.
• Implement observability through metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards and alerting, and support incident analysis and root cause investigations.
• Mentor engineers, partner with architecture, product, security, infrastructure and application teams, and promote a culture of engineering excellence.
• Work in agile, iterative delivery, drive quality standards (testing, documentation, peer review, automation) and advocate for platform quality and maintainability.

Required profile

• Advanced expertise in at least two or three of the listed technical domains; breadth across several areas is valued.
• Ability to lead technical discussions, solve complex problems and mentor others.
• Comfortable working in complex, evolving environments with multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Kubernetes-based platforms in production environments.
• Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
• SRE principles, including observability with metrics, logging, tracing and alerting.
• Go (Golang) for platform services, automation tooling, APIs or operators.
• Linux systems knowledge, CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows and modern software delivery practices.
