Lead Mechanic

About the role

The Lead Mechanic will join the Technical and Environmental Services Group at the Maintenance Field Office located at the Dorsey Run Wastewater Treatment Plant. This position supports water, wastewater, and stormwater projects across Maryland, including BWI and Martin State Airports.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment used in water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities.
• Provide 24/7 emergency response, including nights, weekends, holidays, and adverse weather conditions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED plus at least seven years of relevant experience (or equivalent vocational training).
• Ability to obtain a Homeland Security Clearance, perform confined space entry, lift 50 lb, and hold a valid driver’s license with fewer than five points.

Required skills

• Mechanical equipment installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Experience with water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
