Lead Managed Services Engineer II - GCP Cloud DevOps

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Lead Managed Services Engineer II for its Cyber Operate team to design, automate and operate enterprise-scale cloud capabilities that support clients' critical cyber assets. The role applies Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Terraform, infrastructure as code and DevOps practices to build secure, scalable and reliable solutions, working with Cyber Operate, data engineering and AI/ML teams. Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Terraform modules and infrastructure-as-code workflows across development, test, staging and production environments.
• Provision and operate GCP services such as Cloud Run, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Firestore, IAM, Secret Manager, load balancing, GKE, VPCs, DNS and SSL certificates.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure versioning, automated code reviews, governance controls and deployment strategies.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, logging, observability, high availability and disaster recovery; investigate production incidents and document root causes.
• Create operational runbooks, architecture documentation and support procedures.
• Partner with data engineering and AI/ML teams on infrastructure for data platforms and AI workloads, including Vertex AI Agent Engine, Vertex AI Search and Model Armor.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in the listed areas.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, communicate clearly, lead projects, manage priorities and mentor others.
• Must live within commuting distance of the assigned office and be able to commute daily; expected to co-locate about 1 day per week and travel 20-25% on average.
• Preferred: Master's degree.
