Lead Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)

About the role

Virtasant is seeking a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to work on a high‑impact analytics platform for a leading US healthcare workforce company. The role is fully remote and involves embedding with the client’s product and business teams to deliver a production‑ready solution and train internal engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Embed with the client to own end‑to‑end delivery of the analytics and predictive platform.
• Lead a pod of 5‑6 engineers, coordinating with product, business, and AI specialists.
• Build, test, and ship the platform while ensuring scalability and performance.
• Provide technical mentorship and training to the client’s internal engineering team.
• Collaborate on future AI pods that pair an FDE with AI and software engineers to drive measurable business outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in a client‑facing, outcome‑driven environment.
• Strong ability to work autonomously and deliver high‑quality software solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for close collaboration with cross‑functional stakeholders.
