Lead Engineer, Product Development – Meters (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Engineer to drive product development for meter solutions on a fully remote basis. You will lead cross‑functional teams, manage schedules, and ensure high‑quality delivery from concept through manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Read and drive project schedules, identifying actions to accelerate completion while managing risk.
• Define product specifications based on market insights and corporate goals, communicating clear expectations to vendors.
• Support vendor selection, audits, and corrective actions to secure manufacturing capabilities.
• Collaborate with quality assurance and testing teams to develop test methods, update protocols, and generate corrective action plans.
• Maintain inspection lists, work with overseas inspection teams to improve processes, and publish focused inspection items.
• Assist the complaint handling group by analyzing product issues, responding to customer reviews, and driving corrective actions.
• Provide regular status updates to managers, cross‑functional teams, and leadership, escalating risks proactively.
• Model responsible behavior, coach teammates, and contribute individually to 25+ moderate‑complexity projects.
