Lead Analyst, Pro Trade Credit (Accounting)

About the role

The Lead Analyst, Pro Trade Credit (Accounting) is a virtual position within The Home Depot's controllership organization. The role mentors and leads a team of analysts and/or senior analysts, drives the team's day-to-day trade credit activities, ensures accurate and complete transactions, and improves operational processes. It also involves presenting continuous improvement insights to managers and working with project and product managers.

Key responsibilities

• Operational oversight: coordinate a small team delivering PTP, OTC and RTR tower tasks, organize hand-offs, build solutions for internal and external customers, run month-end and year-end processes, monitor KPIs and SLAs, and act as first escalation point for project issues.
• Continuous improvement and controls: document processes and requirements, work with compliance and controls teams, and propose scalable process improvements.
• Reporting: create regular reports for leadership and advise on ways to increase efficiency.
• People management: guide and evaluate analysts and senior analysts, give timely performance feedback, support skill development, foster collaboration, and help design algorithms and models for large datasets.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 4 years of work experience preferred.
• Typical reporting line to a Manager or Sr Manager; direct reports possible.
• Travel of less than 10% overnight; mostly seated work indoors.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), SAP, Blackline or similar accounting software preferred.
• Thorough understanding of cash, accounts receivable, revenue and GAAP, and GAAS.
• Extensive order-to-cash experience, including account reconciliation and payment application processing.
• Data analytics and visualization experience preferred.
