Language and Culture Instructor (Multiple Languages)

About the role

JTG is seeking experienced language and culture instructors to deliver both in‑person and online classes across a wide range of languages. Instructors will design and implement comprehensive teaching plans that boost student proficiency using authentic resources and student‑centered methods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and deliver language and culture lessons for diverse learners.
• Develop instructional materials and curricula aligned with ILR levels and target language objectives.
• Utilize online platforms and Learning Management Systems to facilitate remote learning.
• Assess student progress through OPI, ACTFL, or similar proficiency assessments.
• Adapt instruction to individual learner needs, including U.S. government and military personnel.

Required profile

• At least two years of teaching the target language at a college or professional level.
• Experience working with U.S. government or military audiences is a plus.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in the target language.
• Strong written English communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency as required by the contract.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) for course delivery.
• Experience using video‑conferencing tools such as Zoom, Adobe Connect, or Skype.
• Ability to create level‑appropriate language learning materials.
