Laboratory Technician – Optically Clear Adhesives Lab

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our Optically Clear Adhesives lab team in Maplewood, MN. The role involves conducting physical and mechanical analyses to support research, development, and quality control of consumer products.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare materials and organize samples for product testing.
• Assist in laboratory experiments, evaluating new materials and products.
• Perform mechanical performance tests and visual observations on product samples, including competitor products.
• Operate multiple pieces of lab equipment to conduct hands‑on tests.
• Move, arrange, sort, and handle testing weights ranging from 2 lb to 20 lb.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Lab Technician or in a related field.
• Ability to lift/carry at least 25 lb and handle 5‑lb weights repeatedly.
• Comfort using a ladder or step stool for elevated work.
• High school diploma required; college degree in a science discipline preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, self‑motivation, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Mechanical performance testing and physical/mechanical analysis.
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment and test instrumentation.
• Microsoft Excel and Word.
