Labor and Delivery Night Shift RN

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a full-time registered nurse for its labor and delivery unit in Winter Park, Florida, working nights from 7 pm to 7 am. The schedule is three 12-hour shifts followed by every other weekend off. Up to $20,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible candidates, and relocation is offered.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients comprehensively, covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, reviewing and revising them as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatments, medications and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions and outcomes.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification (required).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (required).
• Associate's degree in nursing (required); Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Fluent English (reading, speaking and writing).
• 1+ years of experience in a labor and delivery acute care setting (preferred).
• Full-time employment contract required for sign-on and relocation.
