Lab Tutor in Industrial Maintenance and Electrical Technology

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Chattahoochee Technical College, seeks a part‑time Lab Tutor to support students in the Industrial Maintenance and Electrical Technology program. Working on the North Metro or Marietta campus, you will assist with course and lab activities while ensuring a safe learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist students with laboratory experiments and coursework in industrial maintenance and electrical technology.
• Set up and break down lab equipment for each class session.
• Monitor and enforce lab safety procedures and standards.
• Maintain lab inventory and report any equipment issues.
• Collaborate with the Technical Studies & Engineering Technologies Associate Dean and the Dean of Business and Technical Studies.

Required profile

• Completion of IDSY 1101 and IDSY 1105 with a grade of C or higher.
• Basic knowledge of industrial and electrical equipment.
• Understanding of lab safety protocols.
• Preference for an Associate Degree in a related field and two years of industry experience or relevant certifications.
