Lab Technician I – Quality Control (Night Shift)

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician to join the Dispersions team at our Monaca, PA plant. In a 12‑hour rotating shift you will perform testing on raw materials, intermediates and finished latex products, ensuring compliance with internal specifications and ISO‑9001 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quality assurance testing using equipment such as GC, HPLC, FTIR, spectrophotometers, viscometers, pH meters, ovens, balances and microscopy.
• Enter and evaluate data in LIMS and SAP systems, supporting continuous improvement of lab and plant processes.
• Perform bacteria testing and waste‑water sample analysis as required.
• Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instruments, adhering to safety and environmental protocols.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations to expedite shipments and meet customer expectations.
• Participate in safety trainings and process safety management activities.

Required profile

• Associate degree or technical degree in Chemistry/Analytical Testing, or High School diploma/GED with at least 2 years of industrial lab experience.
• Experience working on a 12‑hour rotating shift in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work night‑shift differentials and overtime as needed.
