About the role
This full‑time, on‑site position is for a K‑5 Elementary Teacher with the Calcasieu Parish School Board in Lake Charles, LA. You will design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with educational standards, monitor student progress, and adapt instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging K‑5 lessons aligned with state or national standards.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community stakeholders.
- Help students build foundational academic, social, and emotional skills.
Required profile
- Strong instructional and curriculum‑planning abilities.
- Effective classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
- Valid K‑5 teacher certification in Louisiana.
- Passion for equitable, quality education and student growth.
- Previous elementary teaching experience preferred.
